Introduction:

SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation system provides automation service for Supplier Management, Invoices Payments, Services Procurement, External Workforce, and other enterprise business processes. Create end-to-end workflows with Cloud Studio to automate processes. Create packages from this automation and upload them to the Cloud Factory powered by SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) to set up and run them using Agents. The Agents on-premises can function as either digital assistants (attended automation) or digital workers (unattended automation).

The Cloud Studio allows you to develop bots and automate your applications using a Low-code and No-code methodology. Developers and business users can use Low-Code to build and run application bots by leveraging existing JavaScript hand-coding skills. Users are directed through an intuitive interface with a simple workflow design using a No-Code method. The essential bot creation tools of the cloud studio allow expert developers and business users to build and maintain cloud apps without writing a single line of code.

Benefits:

  • It can be designed and developed in the Cloud Platform using Cloud Studio
  • Automation may be processed across many desktops and servers by installing the iRPA Desktop Agent on the workstations and servers where the automation is required.
  • It is pre-configured for SAP applications such as SAP SuccessFactors, Success Ariba, SAP Concur, SAP Fieldglass, SAP GUI (Graphical User Interface), SAP Fiori, and ECC and S/4 HANA.
  • It also supports non-SAP Applications like MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and Web-Browser Applications.
  • Automated bots can be initiated with the help of SAP CAI (Conversational AI).
  • SAP BTP Service Document Information Extraction uses OCR (Optical Character Recognition) to extract data from invoices, purchase orders, and payment advice, among other structured and unstructured business documents.

Before diving into the products available in Mobolutions, let us have a walkthrough of SAP’s iRPA. The SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation service is a hybrid solution made of the components below:

  • Desktop Studio for designing automation processes.
  • Cloud Factory for orchestrating the automation.
  • Desktop Agent for executing the automation.
  • Pre-built bots available in the Store for utilization in the automation

SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation Key Features:

  1. Desktop-based Process Automation Design: SAP’s Intelligent Robotic Process Automation provides a software component to be installed on a supported OS that would help us to administrate the process automation
  2. Cloud-based Process Automation Design: SAP’s Intelligent Robotic Process Automation Cloud Studio provides an HTML-based solution that you use to author a process automation
  3. Script-based and workflow-based process automation design: Process Automation Programming Model supports Script-based and workflow-based paradigms.
  4. Access to SAP applications: SAP’s Intelligent Robotic Process Automation service provides a set of connectors that lets you access SAP applications such as SAP GUI for SAP ECC or SAP S/4 HANA
  5. OCR Connector for Surface Control: SAP’s Intelligent Robotic Process Automation system in Desktop Studio provides a built-in OCR connector for capturing Applications that are often not accessible with regular connectors. Three languages are supported (English, French, and German)
  6. Direct access to Microsoft Office tools: A set of pre-built connectors that help you to access Microsoft Office components and files such as Excel, Word, or Outlook.
  7. Cloud-based Monitoring and Dashboarding: SAP’s Intelligent Robotic Process Automation Factory is a cloud studio that helps you to monitor agents, package deployment, and job execution.
  8. Attended and Unattended Bot using a hybrid deployment model: Desktop Agents are deployed on-premises and can work in attended, unattended, or both based on pre-defined availability.
  9. Seamless Integration based on API Trigger and Notifier: Using API Trigger and Notifier can help us integrate SAP Conversational AI and a wide range of API-based events.
  10. SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) security and identity integration: The cloud-based component relies on SAP BTP and leverages identity management and profile management

Mobolutions with SAP Intelligent Process Automation:

The Intelligent Robotic Process Automation system designed by Mobolutions has significantly decreased the workload with products developed as PoC.

  • Reset of Password – In the SAP GUI (Graphical User Interface), password change, Unlock user accounts in various environments in ECC and S/4 HANA.
  • Mass Creation – In the SAP GUI (Graphical User Interface) or SAP Ui5/Fiori, bulk work orders and sales orders are being developed.
  • Mass Approval – In the SAP GUI (Graphical User Interface) or SAP Ui5/Fiori, mass approval of purchase orders and purchase requisitions is being developed.

The SAP’s iRPA architecture, where the automation is completely developed in the Cloud Studio Factory using the pre-build SDK packages and deployed the project to the Client/On-Premise, administrating the project process. The project’s development can also be achieved using the Desktop Studio, which develops using the pre-build SDK packages and helps deploy the project to the Client/On-Premise. The Cloud Studio Factory also allows to configuration and monitoring of agents, package deployment, and job execution. Along with SAP IRPA, we have developed a fully custom FIORI application to provide our customers with efficient asset management capabilities. Our Asset Management system for Utilities Industries app is a deployable application both On-premises and on the cloud. Check out the app here Asset Management system for Utilities Industries.
